Meet The Face Behind Mind, Body & Soul
I’m Melanie Magritz, the proud owner of Mind, Body & Soul.
I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.
I was a working mom that owned a busy coffee shop. My long hours meant that I was not taking care of myself properly and after having tried to juggle my work and home
life for many years, I started to experience burnout, and it got to the point where I stopped enjoying life.
One day I decided that I didn’t want to feel stressed and fatigued anymore, so I started practicing meditation and soon added yoga to my wellness program. I also began to eat healthier, meet the right people, and read a couple of self-help books, and within no time, I felt invigorated and began to reap the benefits of holistic living.
Having come this far, I was determined to stay on the right path to physical and mental recovery. I registered with the American Institute for Vedic Studies to become an Ayurvedic consultant.
A few months later, I signed up with the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. I then spent four weeks in India last spring, taking an Ayurvedic massage course, which inspired me to launch a holistic health coaching center.
Over the past twelve months, I have noticed that my business is slowly taking off, and I’m now in a position to give it my full attention. It was rewarding to empower my first client to achieve her goals, and now I want to help more like-minded souls to transform their lives.
I endeavor to guide individuals to feel better and start enjoying their journey again, so I encourage people to make small changes in their daily regimes to create balance. I also raise awareness about living in harmony with our planet.
To accomplish my objectives, I’ve created a safe environment for clients to express themselves, and as an individual, I believe what sets me apart is my level of attention. My compassion has allowed clients to connect with their inner selves, which has enhanced my integrity.
I also attribute my success to being honest and authentic. There are times when it takes a concerted effort to assist clients’ to imbibe new values, but I’m persistent and committed to succeeding in my work.
Part of my job revolves around tackling mental illness, as my partner committed suicide last year. Due to the stigma involved with the topic, it’s still avoided by many, so I aim to render assistance for people who need it.
When I am not coaching, I love cooking and listening to music, which means I like to turn my kitchen into a dance floor and go wild with my children. My hobbies also include reading, gardening, hiking with my dog, and spending quality time with friends.
I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.
